Easel and oils in tow, she would set up and quickly express what she could of the enchanted moment. Later, in the studio, the larger paintings came, with the support of the location pieces, photos from her experiences and the emotional imprints they left deeply in her. “When I’m in the studio I might listen to blues, classical, rock or meditative quiet music…but when I’m in the hills I listen to the land and feel it as it embraces me and holds me safe and loved. OCPAG is most grateful to Ann for allowing us to use her beautiful painting as the subject of our 2018 35th Anniversary poster. The 16” x 20” matte finish poster is ready to be hung and you can cherish the memories of Ann’s work and the music of “this glorious mountain country I call home.”
