Jeff Solon Trio
Jeff Solon is a self-taught musician, who plays saxophone, harmonica, and flute. He performs jazz as a soloist, composer, arranger, teacher, and bandleader. He began as a street performer, playing his way through Central and South America (1980 – 1985), and has performed continually since 1985. He has been a yearly grant recipient (1993 –2009) from the Durango Friends of the Arts for his public school assemblies and workshops, and has won several music awards from the Colorado Council on the Arts. He has led three tours for U.S. Embassies in Latin America, released 13 CDs, and teaches jazz at Fort Lewis College . Jeff Sweet is a keyboardist with a unique talent who has performed at the Telluride Jazz Celebration. Joyce Simpson is a four-octave jazz vocalist with an onstage persona often compared to vintage Sarah, Billie, and Dinah.
